Significance of '' Ghanta'' in temples
GHANTA........... is a sanskrit word.. in English we call it bell. WE find it in all temples.
Have we ever thought that why we ring the ghanta while doing puja or while entering a temple.
WE ring the ghanta to invoke the gods and the ghanta makes an auspicious sound and it creates the sound
OM. The sound created by the ghanta also eradicates the disturbance created in the minds of the worshipers in the temples.
The pure combination of brass and bronze creates a harmonious sound
which helps our mind to be in peace , it purifies our mind and keep stable.
while ringing the ghanta ... we can chant this mantra-----
'' AGAMAARTHAMTU DEVANAAM GAMAANARTHAMTU RAKHSASAAM
KURVE GHANTARAVAAM TATRA DEVATAAHVAAHNA LAKSHANAM ''
RING THE BELL INDICATING THE INVOCATION OF DIVINITY, SO THAT VIRTUOUS AND NOBLE FORCES ENTER INTO YOUR HEART AND HOME, AND THE EVIL FORCES DEPART FROM YOUR MIND AND HEART.
